Voices of the Underground Book Set

MSU Press Cuts Cost of Voices from the Underground

I’m delighted to report that Michigan State University Press, publisher of my Voices from the Underground Series, has agreed to slash the price of every volume so members of the general population can afford it.

Previously, the cost ranged from $39 to $50.

It is now $29.99 (so they can say “under $30)!

As is typical with academic presses, MSU Press aimed their marketing campaign at the academic librarians who buy their books. They priced the per-volume cost out of reach of most readers.

But, I asked, “By now, you’ve probably achieved your initial sales goals in the institutional market. Why not lower the price for the rest of us?”

They agreed! A unique example of publisher and editor/author working as partners, not competitors.

Don’t miss this opportunity to receive all four copies of the collection that

  • In These Times called “the most important book on American journalism published in my lifetime.”
  • Los Angeles Times Sunday Book Review said “comes closer than anything I’ve yet read to putting the sights, sounds, and texture of the ‘60s on paper.”

Buy all four right here! It couldn’t be simpler.
